Housekeeping
It is your responsibility to keep the working area tidy and safe both during work and after working is finished.
• Avoid presenting trip hazards by not trailing leads or tubing on the floor.
• Any equipment used should be put away or placed somewhere appropriate (with agreement from the technical staff).
• Do not leave experiments unattended.
• Report any broken or faulty equipment to the technicians
• Tidy up your area once you have completed the session.
This laboratory booklet is designed to
(1) Provide guidance on the weekly sessions, including the concept and general procedures.
(2) To help you keep all your notes and calculations together during your surveys.
This booklet is not meant to be your assignment report. As explained in the coursework brief, the final assignment should be completed as a technical report. The brief will provide guidance on what expected with regards to the tables, graphs and analysis that is required.
Group Work
The workshop sessions will be conducted in groups, and within each group, you will work in pairs. You MUST wear face mask all times while inside. It is also important to keep the place tidy and to clean the experimental tools after finishing each survey.
As part of this experience, treat your peers with respect and equality.
Although the surveys will be conducted in groups with shared results, the interpretation, conclusions and write up will be carried out individually. All materials from other sources must be correctly referenced.
